Betta Fish

Betta fish are known for their bright colors and flowing fins. They are territorial and can be aggressive, especially towards other males, so they are often kept alone. Bettas prefer warm water, around 75-80°F, and they can breathe from the water's surface due to their labyrinth organ. One advantage is that bettas don’t require large tanks, making them ideal for small spaces. However, a challenge is maintaining the right water conditions, as bettas are sensitive to sudden changes in temperature or water quality. While they are generally easy to feed, they need a varied diet of pellets and occasional live food to stay healthy. Beginners may find bettas easy to care for, but expertise is required to keep their water clean and well-filtered. Overcrowding and poor water conditions can stress bettas and lead to illness. Regular tank maintenance, a stable environment, and attention to detail are necessary to keep bettas happy and thriving.
